Senate Bill 1 (SB1), sponsored by Senator Jerry Cirino (R-Kirtland), is scheduled to receive a proponent hearing before the Ohio Senate Higher Education Committee today–Wednesday, January 29–at 2:15 pm.
Also known as the Advance Ohio Higher Education Act, SB1 would ban DEI courses, training, required statements, spending on DEI initiatives or programs with the same intent,and political and ideological litmus tests in all hiring, promotion, and admissions decisions.

CCV's Christian Business Partnership Executive Director Monty Lobb is scheduled to give proponent testimony on the Advance Ohio Higher Education Act.
While the hearing is currently scheduled to start at 2:15 pm, it could start later if the 1:30 pm Senate Session runs long.
